Stunner CBF 125CC Review

As you all know that honda is a great company with great engine power and great fuel economy. I needed a new bike , but my father was not allowing to buy bikes of 150 or greater than 150cc bikes. So i was confused and got on the net to search for more bikes which were less than 150cc. All i got is those crap uncle type bikes which were splendour, passion, CD-Dawn etc. Then when i was just just surfing on tv i just heard that the NEw Stunner of 125cc was launched. I was amazed and quickly increased the volume but was disappointed when i heard the rate. I quickly saved 10k and said my dad to buy it. The very next day my dad nd i went to the showroom and booked a stunner.
After much riding the bike i have posted this review.

CBF Stunner’s Styling: Honda says that many people thought that it was a 180cc bike in the first look. And some thought it was a 220cc one. The bike is quite large for its engine size. The big flaring in front definitely adds a super cool status to the bike. Major part of the Stunner story is its looks. With alloy wheels, Karizma like head lamps, split seats, Honda has made it look like a sports bike for sure. Park the Unicorn and Stunner together and a baby can tell that it wants the Stunner.
CBF Stunner’s Performance: No one can tell that the CBF is the twin brother of Honda Shine, Unless they look into the specifications. I would say that the bike is better suited for city riding than highway cruising. With jump start pickups at lower speeds, the college guy will definitely look like a cool dude on this bike, compared to the guy who drives a Passion Plus, struggling to catch up with Stunner.

The bike gives out 11 bhp at 8000 rpm with its 124.7 cc engine. It does not give me enough pleasure at 80 kmph because the bike is not smooth enough compared to the higher cc counter parts. You would push the engine to the limits only when someone is chasing you, not otherwise!

Pricing :
The on-road price of Honda CBF Stunner ranges from Rs.54,000 to 60,000 in south India. You have options of having disc brakes and self start. The mileage claimed by users is 66 kmpl.

Comfort:
This bike is comfortable as it sees, trust me. Travel 10km or 50km you wouldn't feel the pain in your back as this bike is very comfortable for the teenage bikers.
This bike average speed which i rode is 110 kmph.

Honda CBF Stunner Specifications:

Displacement: 124.7cc
Engine: 4 Stroke, Air Cooled, OHC Single Cylinder

Bajaj Pulsar 180 UG4 Review

TECHNOLOGY:
DTS-i – Digital Twin Spark Ignition

Digital twin Spark Ignition is a revolution in the modern motorcycling era in the country today and we are the first to offer it to Consumers. This technology offers phenomenal performance augmentation and was introduced for the first time on the highly successful Pulsar twins. It is also being patented by Bajaj Auto Ltd.

For faster and better combustion. Currently one spark plug at one end of the combustion chamber is the conventional practice. The flame front created by the spark takes some time to reach the farthest portion of the combustion chamber. This leads to slower burning of the air-fuel mixture and creates limitations in optimizing the combustion chamber characteristics. Two spark plugs at either ends of the combustion chamber help in faster and better combustion This combustion process of Twin Spark Plugs is being patented by Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Digital Twin Spark Ignition).

Ignition with a Digital C.D.I.
A Digital C.D.I. with an 8 bit microprocessor chip handles the spark delivery. The programmed chip’s memory contains an Optimum ignition timing for any given engine rpm, thereby Obtaining the best performance characteristics from the combustion chamber. Working together with the Trics III system, it delivers optimum ignition timing for varying load conditions.

ExhausTEC
ExhausTEC is a device incorporated in exhaust system of ‘Pulsar DTS-i’ engine. ‘TEC’ stands for ‘Torque Expansion Chamber’. This world-first technology developed by Bajaj Auto improves the ‘scavenging’ process. The exhaust system has this revolutionary feature Incorporated, which drastically improves engine torque at low revs without compromising anything at mid or high engine revs. It has been extensively optimized to get the Maximum possible performance out of the engine. The silencer also has a characteristic tonal quality to it. It gives out a pleasant sounding low frequency ‘boom’ sound. While meeting the mandatory current noise norms, it gives the bike an identity, which is different from any other bike, so as to make it very unique.

STYLE
The style factor in New Bajaj Pulsar 180 comes from its bigger siblings Pulsar 200 and 220. It completely have borrowed its looks from the Pulsar 200 which now Bajaj has stopped production. If you have layed hands on the new Pulsar 180, you won’t feel the need for Pulsar 200 as it has everything the Pulsar 200 had and more. The plus point is that it has Clip On Handle Bars from Pulsar 220 which the Pulsar 200 did not possess. Also, power is close to Pulsar200 that comes around 17.02 PS. Only thing missing is the new Silver good looking Silencer, although I do not miss it too much as it still looks good with the Black one. The broad rear tyre and open rear chain on this bike looks really good. And if you want that people should give you a second look, this will happen to you when you go out on this bike. The rear of this bike looks better than the UG3 model as well. It has a higher end with its tail high up and with broad tyre gives a bulkier look. I wished it came with a rear disk brake but you cannot get everything in that price which bajaj is offering for this bike.

The time you sit on the bike, first thing that gains your attention is the speedometer of course. The digital meter with white dial looks awesome with analog RPM that is faster than UG3 model. The speedometer can log Speed, fuel, Kms travelled, Analog RPM (12000 RPM max and 9000 RPM redline), A to B point reading in Kms (Can save two readings at a same time), Low battery indicator, Side Stand Indicator, High Beam Indicator, Indicators (Self Cancelling after turn) and Neutral indicator.
Bajaj is very confident with there ignition system and has removed the old kick from the Bike. I haven’t heard anybody till date complain about starting problems even in Winters. There is a choke provided under the tank. You can simply pull it and start the bike in winters if you find it hard to start. Bajaj has changed the logo of Pulsar on the tank too. Previously it was a sticker job. It looked good though but, new logo come in steel and the font for the logo has changed too. It matches with grey colour but I can’t say it looks good on other colors as well as people have different opinions. Front Black forks from Pulsar 220 look better than UG3 Model. And the bigger disk brake not only looks good but is able to stop the bike from 0 – 60 Kmph in less than 14 Meters comparing the weight of the bike that is 147 Kg.

Performance
Bajaj has increased the power a little bit compared to previous version of the bike from 16.5 PS to 17.02 PS. This bike love wheelies as UG3 and you can easily do stoppies too. The bike has powerspread all over and it feels smooth at all the RPMs. You can pick the bike in the third gear from as low as 20 kmph without engine knock. I will not go around too much and will straight way come to the figures. The figures are not borrowed from any other medium and are my own. I have managed to reach the speedo indicated speed of 128 Kmph on the Ludhiana – Chandigarh Road. Although reaching and getting out the best top end from a bike depends on many things such as Air Friction, Air Pressure of tyres, Maintenance etc.

0 – 60 Kmph comes in around 4 Seconds

0 – 100 Kmph in around 13 Seconds

The thing I am impressed a lot is that you just get on the bike and rev it in any gear and you are able to overtake almost anything. After overtaking when you look at speedo, you will notice bike easily doing 70 – 80 kmph at ease. Now comes the vibration factor. I will mention it clearly. The UG4 is vibe less and is very much refined than the old pulsar.

Mileage :

Now comes the factor of mileage. Indian people will usually ask this question whenever you talk about the new launch of the vehicles. Be it a car or be it a bike. Or you can say Be it a bike or car that is even based on performance. Milage is very important to us too as petrol prices are going up these days a lot. It gives around 40 kmpl in the city. It can easily give around 50 – 55 kmpl on the highway.

Price:

Now comes an important part. It costs around Rs. 73000/- including paperwork. The showroom price for the bike without paperwork was 71300. I guess it costs less in PUNE. I have read over the Internet somewhere that it costs around Rs. 68000 in PUNE. So the price comes around Rs. 70000.

HONDA CBR250R Launched in INDIA

Bringing an end to all the hype surrounding the motorcycle, Honda today unveiled the CBR 250R in Mumbai where it also announced the official pricing of the motorcycle. The Non ABS version of the CBR 250R is priced @ rs 1.43 lakhs and 1.68 lakhs for the fully ABS version. This bike is available in three color - Red, Black, Silver.
This has been most sought-after motorcycles to roll out of the Honda factory in India and it has already registered over 2500 booking since the booking commenced in January despite Honda announcing official pricing for motorcycle until today.
Powered by a single cylinder 250cc DOHC engine with 4 valves, fuel injection and liquid cooling, the CBR250R is going to be one cracker of a machine at a supremely alluring price-point that no other motorcycle in the current Indian two-wheeler bazaar offers. The motorcycle can do a top-whack of about 160km/h and its estimated 100km/h sprint time in 8 seconds.

It is a perfect street bike with comfortable riding position and sorted computing model. It looks smart with its corner-curving.For all the bikers who have been saving up all this while for a decent power-packed quarter-litre machine with corresponding handling dynamics and good comfort , its this bike which will suit all your needs.

Yamaha Sz-X 150cc review

Yamaha first launches Yamaha Sz before the sz-x series. Yamaha SZ was born – to provide a mass machine which could signify an epitome of practicality and ‘Value for Money-ness’ after riding high on the success of the performance oriented dazzlers.

Looking at the market Yamaha launched its sz-x and joined the competition of 150cc segments. Bajaj, Yamaha, Honda, are the leading bike company which is selling the 150cc bikes at low cost of 50,000 Rs.
But let us give more attention to Yamaha Sz-x as it is the review of the Sz-x.

Style & brand quality :
Yamaha’s bikes have always been those aggressive looking kinda and with this low cost variant, the looks do not get reprimanded, thankfully. SZ is beautifully crafted with a muscular and aggressive stance. It all starts with a bikini fairing (unlike FZ’s naked genre) which is all black colored plastic cupped in body colored fiber from the bottom. Yamaha logo right at the forehead, detached transparent windscreen and pointed orange colored side blinkers lend the front a hostile look. Though the contoured tank is not as huge looking as FZ, but possesses more capacity and bulges at the very right angles. The extended tank shrouds look well crafted from the sides but from the front they feel an odd fitment. Side panels are all black and plastic sporting the ‘Yamaha’ name in bold. Body colored rear panels culminate in black plastic again and a fantastically designed tail with a partition in between.

Engine And Transmission :

Well yamaha has copied the engine as compared to the Fz-16 which is an advantage as you are going to buy a bike ranging in 150cc.owered by the same 153cc mill that does duty on the elder brethren FZ series, this engine produces 12.1PS of maximum power under SZ’s tune and peaks at 7500 rpm. Torque produced is a respectable 12.8Nm at 4500 rpm.A direct comparison of these figures with FZ reveals that the low and mid range power concentration of both the bikes have been retained but SZ produces almost 2PS of power less than FZ. Turning our attention to the torque figures, SZ produces almost 1.2Nm of torque lesser than FZ but the graph has been redefined here. The torque peaks almost 1500rpm earlier than FZ (@4500rpm) which hints that special attention has been paid to load this bike with better city agility characteristics.

Mileage & Pricing:
The Sz-x is the highest ranging fuel efficient bike in Yamaha. The sz-x gives a mileage of 50-52kmpl and in highways or free road it gives an average of 65 kmpl.
The price ranges from 54,900Rs (may vary in other cities/states).

Conclusion:
Well i would say that investing on Yamaha is pretty much advisable as it gives no maintenance cost & best biking experience for teenagers. This bike is a good bike if you are wondering to invest in 150cc segments. But there are other bikes too which can be replaced with the yamaha Sz-x 150cc.

Hero Honda Hunk Review

Hero Honda, a company that went on to become the largest motorcycle maker in the country and a household name. They continued to remain a monopoly till Bajaj totally changed the game of Indian motorcycling with the “Pulsar 150”. Since then, the 150cc segment has grown to become hotter and more exciting. Obviously, Hero Honda had to do something about this. And they introduced the Hunk (of course they had CBZ before that). The 150 cc segment has grown manifold since the Pulsars came but the Hero Honda engineers didn’t seem to pay much attention to this. Of late, maybe they have finally done it and thus they have introduced the new 2011 Hero Honda Hunk.

Styling -
It has got front fairings at the front of the fuel tank near the thigh rest areas. It also has miniscule additional fairings near the front shocks at the wheel arch location. This looks quite cool! The front lights look almost the same with no significant changes to it. One look at them and you will say that is the typical Hero Honda. The tail lights look nice with LED lights in it. All back finish has been provided to the engine, and exhaust tail pipe. The rear view mirrors have some solid amount of support material. All in all not much changes.

Instrument-
The new edition gets a digital speedo but the RPM meter still remains analog. The RPM meter sits at the centre and is dominant. The speedometer is kind of tucked away at one corner. It also includes the fuel meter, high beam and turn indicators. Overall, it is quite functional in the appearance with some chrome linings.

Performance -
The bike offers a 149.2 cc engine which makes a impressive 14.4 PS of power @ 8500 RPM and 12.8 Nm of torque @ 6500 RPM. Definitely the power offered is one of the highest in this segment and also you get good thrust at low RPM. The power delivery is not smooth though. You encounter a long straight, minimal traffic, you twist the throttle but the bike doesn’t start to instantly zoom past everything. We found this lag quite pronounced.

Fuel Economy & other salient features :
You get a good mileage figure (but that is altogether a different thing….). The biggest downside to this bike is the gearbox. Though, you get a standard 5 speed gearbox, but the gear shifting is not at all smooth. You are bound to miss a gear or two whether you shift up or down. Also, the bike has some pronounced vibration when you go beyond 3500 to 4000 RPM. Mileage is claimed by the company to be 55 kmpl. On road, you can expect a decent figure of 50!!!

Conclusion - Finally, at 75,313/- (OTR, Mumbai) for a dual disc configuration and at 71,893/- for a single one, is this raging bull worth the price? Well, we would say NO. This segment has seen a slew of products off late and some among them are really good, in fact better than what Hero Honda has to offer. Hero Honda has done their job but not quite up to the level what a consumer expects from such a product. There is a scope for lot more improvement.

Honda Unicorn Dazzler Review

Design & Styling of Honda Dazzler:
Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler is based on the Unicorn Sport Concept shown at the 2010 Auto Expo in New Delhi. CB Unicorn Dazzler features well executed tank scoops, side body panels, dual tone styling, new clear lens tail lamp and heat shield. CB Unicorn Dazzler is not much bulky . Tank shrouds are taken from their very own Honda CB Twister , the version of Unicorn is exclusively meant for sports. The dual tone styling of CB Unicorn Dazzler will attract more people towards it. This dual tone styling will give the vehicle a sporty look.

Elements of Unicorn Dazzler:
  • Front & rear disk breaks
  • 149cc engine , 14 BHp power, 13Nm torque
  • Digital speedometer , analogue tachnometer
  • Attractive tank
  • Revised version with improvements from the old version of Honda Dazzler

Engine of Honda Dazzler :

The engine of CB Unicorn Dazzler remains unchanged but has been updated to meet the stricter emission norms, it is equipped with the same refined and responsive 150cc engine. This smooth revving engine has been infused with a high torque characteristic that makes the Unicorn one of the most fuel-efficient in its class. The high torque available at low rpm levels also reduces the necessity of frequent switching to a lower gear in city riding conditions. CB Unicorn Dazzler's 150cc engine develops maimxum power of 14 Bhp at 8500 rpm with peak torque of 13 Nm at an astonishingly low 6500 rpm. The clutch lever drive is smooth and there is no need to use much force.

The engine of CB Unicorn Dazzler is powerful enough & gear shifts are smooth and there is no stress or pain while shifting them. Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler features new viscous air filter which has been doing rounds on all the new launches by the company also finds its place on this new model which helps in cutting down on ownership costs as this filter needs less frequent maintenance and aids in better breathing of the engine.

Fuel Efficiency :

As you all may be familiar Honda has never disappointed it's customer with its fuel efficiency. Even the scooter segment of honda gives an average of 52 kmpl.

The new improved dazzler gives an average of 60kmpl in city rides and on highway it reaches to 75kmpl.

* City : 60kmpl

* Highway : 75kmpl

Price of Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler :

Honda had made some cosmetic changes to the otherwise staid Unicorn and added a prefix – CB, and Rs 2,000 to its price tag. CB Unicorn Dazzler will score high on style and features to attract the younger crowd, who gravitate more towards the stylish and sportier Bajaj Pulsar and TVS Apache. CB Unicorn Dazzler is priced at Rs. 63000/- (Ex-showroom).

Overview of Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler :

Honda entered the Indian motorcycle market with Honda Unicorn gifted with strong engine, rugged looks and pleasing performance. Unicorn offers superior mileage and pick up and has all the features and facilities one could wish for. Unicorn was the first bike in India with mono suspension feature. After doing a twist with its last launch – the 110 cc Twister, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has now dazzled with a new sportier and premium version of its Unicorn, which has been christened CB Unicorn Dazzler.

Honda always had a trump card with the Unicorn which has been its flagship motorcycle in India for long. CB Unicorn Dazzler is a sportier and premium version of the Unicorn and has been launched with a price tag of 63,000 (Ex-Showroom), which is very competitive and reasonable for a stylish 150cc bike.

Yamaha F-16 review

Hi fellow biker today i am going to share my personal experience with yamaha fz-16.

Engine & Gearbox

If Honda makes the smoothest engines, then Yamaha makes the most vibe-free engines. At slow speeds (<60kmph) href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8bFB76jFPpJ2xfKnVsuSscLE66s7rtTwPCtpgQmrm_27dGXauTf-kjnpsNOu_27zHkHNqbOCtseR-tZt4wvVGYsmih4XYYiiVSl5r2Qw86UXJDtp3Mm_XPCK26k_J8BOk2JLcWrVrhkc/s1600/fz.jpg">

Performance & Fuel Economy

The most important point is the fuel economy as you all most prefer in all bikes. All the people expects more than 40+ average in normal city spaces @ 40 kmph. But trust me Yamaha bikes wont disappoints in this matter.
FZ offers the same performance as other 150cc bikes except Apache RTR & R15. The engine is all about low & midrange torque. There is no point in revving the engine to get more performance. It has a slightly soft top-end as everyone has mentioned. But credit must be given to engine for pulling the soft compound 100/80 front
The max mileage I got was 47km/l (Splendor mode.. max speed 65kmph, up-shift @ 4,500rpm). During normal driving with frequent ripping I m getting 40 consistently. So guys the fuel economy depends on the riding style.
